Five Recommended "Witchy" Reads

With Autumn in full swing, we've been very "Alien" romance driven. So, I thought a little break would be nice.

In honor of this wickedly fun Halloween month, let's switch gears to something more magically delicious. Witches and Spell Casters!!!

Here are five excellent Witch Inspired Paranormal Romance reads that I have enjoyed and think you will to.

Welcome to Keating Hollow, the village full of love, magic, and cupcakes, and where nothing is more important than family.

This series (3 books available now, 1 more due in Dec) is centered around the Townsend sisters and their twisty trek through life and relationships.

The quirky magical town where they live is a perfect backdrop to the situations they find themselves in. The close knit community is full of interesting characters and the way they look out for one another is endearing .

These books are fun, romantic, and definitely worth the read.

All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness

In this tale of passion and obsession, Diana Bishop, a young scholar and a descendant of witches, discovers a long-lost and enchanted alchemical manuscript deep in Oxford's Bodleian Library. Its reappearance summons a fantastical underworld, which she navigates with her leading man, vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont.

This is a truly captivating series full of self-discovery, intrigue, romance, and magic. We're taken to fantastic new places and situations with the help of ancestral magic and modern science.

If you love stories about witches, vampires, a bit of history and a little romance, this series is definitely for you.

Living in a small town, Mia Grey has a hard enough time keeping her own unique healing powers secret, never mind those of her thirteen-year-old sister, whose powerful telekinetic abilities grow stronger by the day. Steering a moody teenage witch down the right path while working full-time in her bait shop/convenience store isn’t easy—and her pre-occupation with their gorgeous new neighbor isn't helping matters.

When fate literally puts his life in her hands, she has no choice but to risk her secret in order to save him.

This is a fantastic story by a great author. I just loved the idea of 2 sisters, who are witches, doing their best to keep that dangerous bit of information hidden. Add the sexy and protective Jack to the mix, and you have yourself a winner.

This story is fun, suspenseful and extra special with that paranormal twist. I love the dialogue and the way the characters are developed. I couldn't help but fall in love with Mia and Jack and I think you will too.

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast.

But Dina is...different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. Under the circumstances, "normal" is a bit of a stretch for Dina.

The fantastic writing team, Ilona Andrews, has written another winning series starting with this book. Their imagination amazes me and I was completely enthralled with Dina, her life, and the amazing world around her.

The writing is as beautiful as the cover and it is so easy to get lost in the story. Once you start, you won't be able to stop. The rest of the series is just as fantastic where we continue to follow Dina on her ultimate quest to find answers about her parents while putting out fires along the way.

Ollie Wit Series by Donna Augustine

Ollie Wit is the strongest Shadow Walker born in decades but it’s a gift with a steep price. Walking in the Shadowlands can bring untold powers and spells, and even greater risks.

Every step into that other world brings her closer to the monsters that have haunted her since a child, destroyed her family and wreaked havoc all around her.

So, Ollie is technically not a witch, but she is powerful and has the ability to gain and use magical spells. This series follows her as she learns more about her powers and the magical world hidden among the ordinary.

As always, Ms. Augustine does an amazing job in this series. The writing is stellar and the characters are addictive. Ollie is tough and easy to route for. There is heart-pumping action, heart-wrenching emotion, and heart-stopping romance. I can't wait for the next edition.

I hope this has inspired you to pick up one of these magical books. Do you have any "witchy" book recommendations?
