Witch A Magical Character or Book Well...isn't Paranormal Romance just perfect for this? I have way too many to choose from. But, I'll say On the Edge by Ilona Andrews. I have to give homage to the author and book that made me fall so deeply in love with Paranormal Romance in the first place.
Werewolf The Perfect Book to Read at Night
How about a book with actual werewolves? I'll say Wolf at the Door (Salvation Pack #1) by N.J. Walters. This is definitely a book you'll want to read while under the covers.
Frankenstein A Book That Truly Shocked You
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn is the one that stands out. It's a thriller with some wicked twists. So shocking and disturbing, it was even made into a miniseries. And with a main character who frequently carves and mutilates her own body, "Frankenstein" is somewhat fitting.
The Devil A Dark, Evil Character The first thing that comes to mind is the entire Dragon's Gift series. The series follows 3 women who are FireSoul's (powerful and feared magic users). The common thread throughout the entire series is the villain, Victor Orriodor. He is the epitome of evil and these ladies are fated to stop him and save the world.
Grim Reaper A Character that Should Have Never Died It was heartbreaking and painful to watch Bookie die in The Dead (The Wilds #3) by Donna Augustine. Luckily, Ms. Augustine made up for it in book #4.
Zombie A Book that Made You "Hungry" for More I loved Fury (New Species Book 1) by: Laurann Dohner so much that I devoured the next 5 books in the series in 48 hours. I've now read all 14 and am desperate for another installment.
Gargoyle A Character That You Would Protect at All Cost Bugs in Wyrd Blood by Donna Augustine is my pick. I love her! She's tough, smart and absolutely selfless. In a harsh world where it would be so easy to put herself first, she doesn't. She only cares about her crew and making sure they survive another day, even if it kills her.
Vampire A Book That Sucked The Life Out of You Playing with Fire: A Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) by R.J. Blain. Oddly, the one creature not in this book was a vampire. Although fun, this book was all over the place. It had me spinning and struggling to keep up. I was exhausted once I finally finished and a little too put out to try any other's in the series.
Ghost
A Book That Still Haunts You
Haunts, in a good way. Changing Times (Hidden Mountain #2) by Jacqueline Rhoades is my pick. This book is spectacular and constantly crosses my mind. This amazing story will trigger every emotion and pull at your heart and soul. The first book is fantastic but this one is unforgettable.
Demon A Book That Really Scared You I thought, "if Rachel on Friends can do it, so can I." I did it, but it wasn't easy. The Shining by Stephen King is seriously haunting and everything it's cracked up to be.
Skeleton A Character That You Have a Bone to Pick With Dallas McCade from The Cowboy's Surrender by Anne Marie Norvack rubbed me the wrong way. He was a narrow-minded jerk and I'm still shocked Gillian let him treat her the way he did.
Mummy A Book You Would Preserve Throughout Time
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradberry is the book that comes to mind immediately. Although decades have passed since I last read it, its deep and thought-provoking message remains very clear. And even though it was written in the 1950's, it has stood the test of time and may be even more relevant today than it was back then.
Creepy Doll A Cover too Scary to Look At Gentle Bite by Raymond Johnson.
I'm going to just leave this right here.

Great post! This is a perfect tag to get you in the Halloween spirit!
Way to give me nightmares with that cover! 😂😅 I have read none of these, but I like the movie The Shining and the show Sharp Objects.
Looks like a fun tag. Great with Halloween just around the corner.
No zombies for me - but I've wanted to be a witch since I was a child and watched Samantha on Bewitched
