I ventured into the blogging world with a few expectations. I was expecting to work hard, I was expecting a ramp-up period, and I was expecting a learning curve.
What I was NOT expecting, but was amazed at, was the instant support and encouragement I received from other book bloggers all over the world. My new blogger friends have motivated and inspired me and I'm so very grateful.
I've not only enjoyed getting to know these dedicated and talented bloggers but I'm constantly impressed with the fantastic content and book reviews they put out.
So, let's see what a few of these bloggers have been up to and what books they're currently excited about.
Melissa reviewed Blood Laws (Immortal Curse Series Book 1) By Lexi Foss
Excerpt from Blog:
I am so happy that I finally got around to finish reading my review copy of Blood Laws and I’m really excited to share my review with you guys! Blood Laws is the first book in a paranormal romance series you need to add to your wishlist ASAP!
Amanda reviewed Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier
Excerpt from Blog:
I’m happy to say that it’s so much more than a pretty cover, it has an amazing story line with a mystery that had me guessing and thrown off!
This novel won’t be for everyone. It’s graphic both in the murders (which includes children) and sex scenes. It’s an uncomfortable read in that regard.
I was hooked right away.
Marcia reviewed The Girl They Left Behind by Roxanne Veletzos
Excerpt from Blog:
Based on the true story of her mother's life, Veletzos was able to piece together a beautifully written, emotional page-turner, filled with historical details about the WWII and the Soviet rule on Romania. The result was an impossible to put down book, showing the sacrifice, perseverance, hope and love of two mothers for the child they shared.
Bianca reviewed Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor Series Book 1) by Jessica Townsend
Excerpt from Blog:
I wish my 11-year-old-self had read this book. It is fantastic and magical and wonderful and a delight to read. Townsend paints such a vivid picture and creates such a stunningly realistic, yet magical world, I wish I could live in Nevermoor. This book feels like Harry Potter, Narnia, Dr Seuss and all the best memories of your childhood rolled into one.
Jennifer reviewed Dracul by Dacre Stoker
Excerpt from Blog:
I liked the build-up to the showdown. It was not a rushed story, and one could feel the development of a woman who was most misunderstood for centuries. It was a heartwrenching story, and I did not see many of the things coming, which is good. I thought the book was about Bram Stoker. It is not. It is also not about Dracula, believe it or not. As you read along, you find its about someone else entirely despite the title of the book.
DJ reviewed Homicide in Herne Hill (The London Murder Mysteries Book 4) by Alice Castle
Excerpt from Blog:
I have enjoyed each intriguing, humorous, and cunningly penned installment in this series, but I believe I enjoyed this one most of all. Alice Castle has laced her well-crafted mysteries with delightfully amusing wry wit, clever comedic observations and insights, and humorously depicted and enticingly quirky characters.
I hope you've enjoyed taking a look at some of my BFF's blogs. My tbr list is growing at a rapid pace because of them and I'm sure yours will to.
